To all the complainers, have you really never sought out an ad? It's not that uncommon:
http://www.youtube.com/user/adblitz
http://www.hulu.com/super-bowl-xlii-ads
http://video.google.com/superbowl.html
http://superbowl-ads.com/
http://www.superbowl-commercials.org/
Now I recognize iAds aren't as sought after as Super Bowl ads, and the vast majority of people probably aren't interested in this app. But so what? Don't download it.

Why did Apple do away with live feeds of the event? That seems like a good idea. What are they trying to avoid?
That little thing called bandwidth. You know how many people will be hitting that streaming video stream if it were live? With it being tape delayed, Apple can somewhat spread out the number of people who will be watching it.
Heck I have a hard enough time viewing the keynote hours after it was released, never mind trying to do it live.

Obviously you have learned about contracts, but have no practical experience with what the terms you are using actually mean...
It is quite a bit different actually. Your home Internet service does not likely limit you to a single device. It is however likely limiting you to your house. If you start hooking up the whole neighborhood through your home Internet connection, they would be well within their rights to charge you more money.
Good try though..
except in that example I would be giving the service I am paying for to someone else. In this case I am using the service I paid for on a different device, just like at home e.g. on an xbox.
good try though

Logic Pro 7 has yet to be cracked, so Apple has people who know how to do copyright protection.
Emagic already had the security dongle in place when Apple bought Logic from them. Apple just made it white and put their logo on it.
a quick look at google will show you that Logic Pro 7 has definately been cracked... ;)
It's not a full version of Logic Pro. It's Logic Express with the track count limitations removed. Many of the plug-ins are not included in the cracked version, and the plug-ins were a major reason that I bought Logic Pro.
Nothing is uncrackable, but Logic Pro is about as close as it can be.

That's no industry setting price point. For that price you can buy the DVD. watch it, load it on your ipod and the sell it on e-bay.
G'Day Tangles, welcome to the boards. You're right though, US$20 is a lot of money compared to DVD prices.
Oh I hope you get the Tangles reference, otherwise I've just made a goose of myself.

Well I guess what I am saying is that the graphics card really doesn't have the muscle that, say, four processor cores do. You should see what my activity monitor does when I crush some havy stuff - it might use two cores if I am lucky.
And what I'm saying is that once you step down from a $4000 machine you see a much larger power ratio in the graphics card/processor image crunching.
Take my set up, I'm betting that using my graphics card benafits me greatly.
In your case though it would be awesome to hand more of that off to the extra procs.

really? do you have one or is this from a distance opinion? Asking, because I am on the verge...
I wouldn't put much faith in the opinions of a person demonstrably unable to coherently express himself.

ok, now i can go back to best buy. they aren't evil anymore and the sales people are the most knowledgeable i've seen
http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/funny-pictures-cats-see-what-you-did.jpg
Best Buy knows who D:apple:ddy is... They know who's keeping that company afloat and relevant in todays chaotic economy.
They wouldn't do anything to jeopardize a business relationship they NEED.
Again they know who D:apple:ddy is.
Yeah because before Apple came to Best Buy, Best Buy was in a lot of trouble.
Give me a break dude.

No, I mean a link to the actual file, not the streaming version. Some people know how to figure that out. Then it can be watched without choppy streaming when millions of us are watching at the same time.

Thats some pretty narrow minded thinking there buddy.
Not your buddy, tyvm.
I'm just posting about some harassment I've been experiencing because of the phone I've purchased and was wondering if other iPhone owners have experienced it, and by judging from the responses a lot have.
You should've searched before creating a new thread. This forum gets one of these 'omg what's wrong with people who prefer their own phone' and 'the iPhone is the best WTF is wrong with android users' every few days.
I already feel great about my purchase, and I haven't been here long enough to know if the users are fanboys. Judging from the responses I'd say these guys seem pretty fair. Pretty judgemental and silly post in my opinion.
Because they're agreeing with you (surprise, surprise). I'd say people are fair too if they blindly agreed to everything I say.
And my post is silly? Pot, kettle if I ever seen it ;)
I couldn't exactly call myself an Apple 'fanboy' either. If HTC made a better phone I'd gladly go pick it up, but I'm simply posting my experiences.
Fair enough. Most people on here refuse to think that anyone other than Apple can make a good phone.
Just curious now- what HTC phone was your friend using to play angry birds @2fps? I had no idea that HTC made a worse android phone (compared to the original G1).

What does scare me though is Glenn Beck, who is so smooth that he does craft his message to try and include everybody. I would assume Beck's the type of guy that is great at not offending when talking to him in person. There are union members, people taking benefits from liberal government, yet still seem to find common ground with the GOP. They listen too much to Beck. He's a real snake water salesman and can convince somebody of something that is an illusion.
I'm not sure if this is true. According to investigative reporter Alexander Zaitchik's biography of Beck, he's not a very likable person. He went into the project thinking Beck would be sort of like Limbaugh, who even some liberals like when he's not doing his schtick.
