What has the Name Check initiation got to do with the submission of finger prints...Nothing.
I bet your notice date is about 2 weeks before your Name Check initiation (Sept 18, 2007).

Dhundhun, If you saved a copy of mailed check, Please look for any technical errors like amount in words/figures . Also check for whom it was written ( They demand it to be written for: US Department of Homeland Security) not abbreviations DHS or so.
Duplicate filing may be okay but may involve stop payment of check n withdrawal of 'right' application -- may create a kinda confusion if it is already in process missing on-line updates. Unfortunately, we are always on the receiving end..
BTW: mine was delivered at Phoenix,AZ on 4/12, checks cashed on 4/23 and I received RN yesterday, it is late but most are getting in 2-3 wks time.

I just came back from doc..and he charged 400 dollars (xray will cost more in next few days. Anyways, he says he need to administer Tetnus 3 times (6 months apart).
I am not sure what he will say in report (which i get in couple of days). But my question to you all is :
When Shots are given with time lag, Is 485 processed normally or RFE happens or do USCIS just wait for all shots to be completed and submission of report by doc before they process anything?

Immigrants have historically provided one of America's greatest competitive advantages. They have come to the United States largely to work and have played a major role in the country's recent growth. Between 1990 and 2007, the proportion of immigrants in the U.S. labor force increased from 9.3 percent to 15.7 percent. Approximately 45 percent of the growth of the work force over this period consisted of immigrants. Moreover, a large and growing proportion of immigrants come with high levels of education and skill. Who are these returnees? What motivated their decision to leave the United States? How have they fared since returning?
This paper attempts to answer these questions through a survey of 1,203 Indian and Chinese immigrants who had worked or received their education in the United States and returned to their home country.
We find that, though restrictive immigration policies caused some returnees to depart the United States, the most significant factors in the decision to return home were career opportunities, family ties, and quality of life.

Given the tax payer stimulus, which is only going to create 3 million blue collar workers and may be a state of the art infrastructure, which already is, will add fuel to fire and the bubble/boom will be visible only in different side of the earth. Hi all,
I recently changed my company and joined one of the big 5.I already have my labor and I-140 approved from the previous employer.My eb3 date has become current.My previous empolyer is willing to continue my I-485 from his company. If I go ahead and file from his company, will I be able to use AC21 after 180 days? eventhough I don't work for him at the time of filing my I-485.
I'll really appreciate any thoughts n comments on ma situation

What did your lawyer say about this? Now you have a delivery confirmation, did you lawyer suggest that USCIS consider the dates as of last year and process your resubmitted application. Certainly it is not your fault,,

If I go for appointment and they put case under PIMS review as I just got ext approval last months. Will they take passport with them ? if Not can I travel with passport and ask to close case of stamping ?
I read in IV forums that few ppl had sent their 797 copy to kentucky center asking to check in to PIMS, you ca ntry that.
Ya they will take ur passport, if you request to release you need to basically cancel stamping and use ur EAD/AP to enter back but that will make you in to parolee status.
Please do post your experience after you go for stamping.

How will judge determine that we actually received the post.It can be lost on the way or something else can happen.Or do we have to sign the notice when the postman gets it.

Last year it went to california center because of the large no. of applications due to july visa bulletin. You should file to Texas service center because you are in NJ (please read the instructions to verify).

How often does a denial happen in a case of H1 "transfer"? Do you know? Why would a transfer be denied?
How often is an H1 denied? I have no idea but it happened to me...twice!
The first time, the attorney screwed up. The company fired him ...and me as well since I was then out of status (long story that I will post someday, maybe...):mad: Second time, I never knew the details but the company appealed... and won.
All that can happen on any type of application of course. Everybody makes mistakes, and even without mistakes, no approval can never be guaranteed in advance.:(
